Telecommunications Journal of Australia Broadband Telecommunications and Urban Travel 2007, R J Nairn. This paper was one of the winners of the Eckermann-TJA prize in the Broadband Environmental Sustainability Challenge run under the auspices of the Telecommunications Society of Australia (see www.tsa.org.au) in 2007.

S.A.Whiteman and G.N.Dick, University of New South Wales Telecommuting – In this virtual world, what is holding it back? This study formed part of the proceedings of the 11th International Workshop on Telework, Fredericton, Canada 2006.

Meyers, N., & Hearn, G. Communication and control: Case studies in Australian telecommuting, published in the Australian Journal of Communication, 27 (2), pp.39-64. (2000). This article (PDF) focuses on the results of 39 in-depth semi-structured interviews from 12 Australian organizations conducted as part of Meyers' PhD in telework (awarded 2000). His qualitative data mentioned in the article was also used to develop a questionnaire for a quantitative study with N=155 Australian and US teleworkers which further examined predictive factors (teleworker job satisfaction; teleworker productivity; teleworker lifestyle satisfaction) as contributors to sustainable telecommuting/telework.
